It's going to be tough for me, but I'm working on it if at all possible. You going?

I'm heading to Mayo in August to see if they can save my eyesight. Then I have to return in September so they can do a second surgery, so not likely. Unless of of course, I chicken out!

I hope I can meet you guys in September.

See you in September.
See you when the summer's through
Here we are saying goodbye at the station
Summer vacation is taking you away
Have a good time but remember
There is danger in the summer moon above
Will I see you in September
Or lose it to a summer love

I can't believe I remembered all the words!

I'm doing whatever I can to get there too.I've already saved almost 500 dollars up for the trip.Whee!!Gotta figure out if I can take the kiddo out of school for a few days or something then too.

I have an aunt and uncle, and a cousin and his wife and kiddo who live in Lakeland.Haven't been there in years, but if memory serves it's a pretty nice place(of course this was years and years ago)

Great pics on this site btw.

Lakeland is still a great place to live... if we forget the three hurricanes last summer. :-) It has grown and changed a lot over the years -- something that isn't always for the better. You should visit again.

Hello there,

I was just passing, and stopped to read through your blog.
You write well, and with great passion. I am from the UK, and I also believe that the American people deserve so much better than the Bush administration.
I`m still having great difficulty understanding how Blair managed to get back into government here.
You have a good site.

Zeppellina, thanks for visiting the site and for your comments. Here, as in the UK, we'll just keep speaking out and working to change leadership.

I enjoyed your page.

Hi Aikane,

Have bookmarked your site, and will drop in every now and then.
Yes, things must change eventually, I don`t think people fully realise the implications of the Bush Administration, and it`s growing effect on world politics.
The situation in Iran had been becoming a little more hopeful in the past few years, with definate signs of change to a more liberal view of life.
Not, of course, liberal for us, but liberal in terms of their own society.
Young people and women especially, have been pressing for change, and the signs were definately hopeful.
Unfortunately, Bush`s constant posturing against Iran has turned the tide, and now it will probably take some time for the situation to get back to where it was.
He`s pushing people into corners, and when that happens, there is always a reaction.
He is an incredibly dangerous man, and Blair seems to be content to back him.
The war in Afghanistan has never ended.
Here, we get reports that there are, once again, whole areas controlled by the Taliban, where Brirish and American troops do not enter.
Troops are still dying in Afghanistan, they are dying in Iraq, both areas where he claimed the war to be over, and now he is posturing against Iran and North Korea.
Iran is a whole different ball-game...Iran will fight to the last man, woman and child if their territory is invaded. it will destabilise the whole of the middle east.
It will unite all arabs against a common enemy. Bush is actually creating the problems all by himself..he has done more for the Islamic fundamentalist `cause` than anyone else.
North Korea...don`t even want to contemplate that one...
Just too scary.
Yes, people have to keep talking to each other, and try to change things.
You`re doing a good thing here!

Zeppellina, I agree Blair seemed content to back Bush with whatever he chose to do after 9/11. Blair's behavior has been more surprising to me than Bush's. I had expected Bush to fall in line with the PNAC plan from the beginning because he's a sociopath who has been given power beyond his wildest dreams and he will use it improperly until he's stopped.

Either I had misjudged Blair or he misjudged Bush. I suppose that Blair could have assumed he could never go wrong by supporting a US president, that he had been lulled into a blind trust by his partnership with Clinton that had served both well.

Bush and the neocons continue to do whatever they can to destabilize the Middle East further. Insulting Iran is the latest attempt. I don't know their plans but I do know they can never be trusted.

Hi there!
Just thought I`d drop in to hear some good rational thought, after visiting a couple of other not so rational blogs.
Was just on the blog again of Tito the Norman...this person is relishing a nuclear showdown between the US and Iran.
He also appears to have a rather abnormal hatred of Europe. Pretty scary guy.
Know what you mean about Blair, although we see him here as being fairly predictable. He is, most definately,an untrustworthy personality, more`s the pity.
However, I am sure that we will all get there in the end. Take care, good blog!
