This wildflower was growing on Kuz'n Kirk's Eastern Tennessee mountain side, April 25, 2005, the day after a surprise snowfall. Can anyone identify it?

Thanks to NC gal, who idenfitied the flower as Fire Pink (silene virginica).

via, this is in Greene County, south of Greeneville. I went up in April with a friend who bought some undeveloped acreage there. He hopes to retire there one day, although that's still some years away.
My brother was living in Knoxville at the time, but has since remarried and moved into the edge of KY.
It's called a Fire Pink (silene virginica)

nc gal, thanks for identifying the flower. If we have those in Florida I haven't seen them.
